TOUR MASTERS OF WINE: Franz Haas Winery
Friday, September 13th we had the honor of having piggy banks company in a group of "special" people, even for their great sympathy, humility and ability tasting. Currently the world is little more than 300 Masters of Wine, and eight of them were sitting at the table of our tasting piggy banks room. Master of Wine is a qualification piggy banks awarded by the Institute of Masters of Wine in the United Kingdom, and is considered among the best ... for the high standards of professional competence required. Currently in the world there are about 300 that have earned the coveted diploma. Since Hong Kong has arrived Debra Meiburg, Singapore Annette Scarfe, the United States Mary Gorman, Richard Kershaw from South Africa, France Stephen Charters, Kate McIntyre from Australia and finally Obryen Mark and Patricia Stefanowicz from Britain. Were tasted the wines produced from the vineyards at altitude: the Poncler at an altitude of 850-900 meters, Schlosshof between 650-700 meters and our vineyard Mazzon 350 meters, along with the vineyard Pichl 230 meters. Very nice article written by Giorgio Rinaldi, who was also present at the visit to the vineyards and tasting, you can read it on the blog where he writes: Wine Rover.it
