Dear Honda Forum. A month ago buy a Honda City 2013 with automatic box (come from a Nissan Tiida Full but I calent to have a car with automatic box and do not regret the change, is a pacer do more changes in this city very complicated ip webcam with traffic). The question you that I do is: How and when should I use the selection conditions "S" and as a result, using the steering wheel paddles? It can go from "D" to "S" while moving car? For example you are to pass a car on the road and want to have control ip webcam of the box with the "S" mode to accelerate as the 4th. the maximum and then move to the 5th. underway. You can do this through the car while moving ?? If there is already open some talk about it please instruct me where and I read with pleasure. Best Regards
josetrillo: You can go from D or S or vice versa with the car in motion. Being in S, while not touch the cams, the car will happen automatically changes to low speed jump between March and running (hot +). Being in S, touching one of the cams on the board you NM (where N is the Index of March) will appear. The M tells you walked into Manual mode and you will be able to go up or down changes the cams. Being in D, tb pods touching the cam on the board like N (where N is the Index of March) will appear. That is en route (by going to the 5th) you can take 2 ways: a) being in D, touching the cam left (going into 4th), accelerate and perform the bypass (where applicable only pass the 5th: in-dash away 4 and not appear + anything). b) being in S, touch the cam left (going into 4th and into Manual mode), after overtaking touching the cam right (passing the 5th and continues in manual mode). Spend a D (salis manual mode). So several alternatives. A practice !!! Salu2 hdloren
Hi Jos, if you can. The D is to do nothing. Only accelerate and brake. If you need power you got to make a kick down (sink the accelerator) for the changes and have lower self reaction. In S vos elegis speed with paddle shift (the Levites). My dad has a Civic with cams and I never use them. But if you want to have control of the situation and make recesses to spend in the 4th or 3rd car on the road you can go from D to S in motion. And it's good that you can do that because the 5th is very geared down and has no reaction to pass cars. Also check the manual to feel sure of what I say.

No, Honda is not like the VW boxes where S passes ams changes laps. The S is to use the cams. no, is not it have a fit EXL and equals the city (same engine and transmission) in D, you can use the cams and when you cease to use the car takes control of the gears only in S You can use the cams but once that you use you got to make the changes you all the time. and while not in use, makes changes later, ie stretching rpm. I checked it and it is as what suits me is knowing that you can go from D to S in motion, thought it not pruned, it suits me for my next trip I think that will solve what I passed (and I did not like) that start an overshoot at 3rd (being in D) in the middle of the box overshoot ascended into 4th and just kept pushing'll reread the sds manually!
